Matasism

Electrica Acida

Italy-born, USA-based producer Matasism lands on SCI+TEC with "Electrica Acida," a two-track exploration of raw analog techno infused with his own recorded vocals. Known for his hands-on approach to production, Matasism crafts music that pulses with the warmth and unpredictability that only hardware can deliver.

The title track "Electrica Acida" embodies electric acid energy coursing through analog circuitry, punctuated by Matasism's processed vocals that add a human element to the machine-driven groove. "We Are The Future" looks forward while rooted in classic underground techno, built around his vocal recordings and sculpted through his collection of analog gear.

Matasism's journey began with launching his own independent vinyl label in 2017. His track "Bassiani Rave" on Emerald Label earned widespread acclaim, leading to his own EP on the imprint. His analog approach and underground sensibility caught the ear of Ellen Allien, who signed him to BPitch for the EP "Can You Feel My Soul." With a passion for the true underground, Matasism now joins SCI+TEC's roster, proving there's still power in the warmth of machines and the human voice.
